More Cousin Time! :)

The girls had a great time completing some fun crafts... they each made a scripture journal and a values notebook. They turned out soooo cute! The kids had fun with legos, scooters, basketball, pogo stick, games, movies, just hanging out together, walks, hamburger, pancakes, caramel corn (YUM!!), and just being together. Stephanie was great at making us laugh with all the cute things she says and her big smile. Dan and Ashley had a serious game of chess. Danny and Bretty were able to attend a BYU basketball game together. The two little girls (Tyler and Savannah) had fun playing house, making forts, coloring, and just running around being silly together. They loved giving Buddy attention and treats and taking him for walks. It was really nice to get to spend time together! I wish I had gotten a picture of Julies new hair-do. It looked darling! I always love spending time with family!

COUSIN TIME!! :)

We had a lot of fun having Dan and Julie and the cousins down. They came down from Thursday to Saturday and we really enjoyed our time with them. We got to take most of them over to see the Payson temple site and they were able to go out on the observation deck and see the work being done on the temple.

3/1/2013 Brets last basketball game

Bret has loved doing basketball this year. He had a great last game and did really well. He scored 10 points, including a left handed shot with someone blocking him. He almost got a 3 pointer in at the end.... it went in and then out of the basket. He just loves getting to play. It was also a lot of fun to have his Uncle Dan and cousin Danny there to see him play. He has learned a lot about teamwork and working hard. It has been a great experience for him.

2/28/2013 Brets Birthday

Everyone did a great job, making it a great birthday for Bret. 45!! :) The kids all made cards for him in the morning. He went to work to find balloons everywhere. I brought him some cheesecake for lunch and washed the car for him. He got cards in the mail and lots of people called to wish him a happy day. :)  When the kids got home they decorated, made cupcakes, and made fun posters for the front doors, and put together their presents and cards for Dad. We made his favorite dinner and sang to him. After we had opened presents, Grandma Chipman came by with a pie from St. George, and then everyone took off for a basketball game at BYU. It was a great game, and a great day!

2/25/2013 to 2/27/2013 Hearts for Ashley

One of the young women in our ward had an accident and was in the hospital with a skull fracture. Samantha is in beehives with her and they were at track practice together when it happened. She is in Brets Sunday School class that he teaches, and she is also one of the babysitters that has helped out while I have been sick (and Tyler LOVES her!!!). We drove up Monday to see her at Primary Childrens Hospital, and on Wednesday the beehives and mia maids came over for Young Womens to "heart attack" her. It turned out to be a great experience.... they wrote all sorts of hearts and notes to put up in her bedroom, in her drawers, and in fun places where she will be able to find them and hopefully continue to get strength from them as she recovers. They also made some posters, and we put together a "get well" basket for her. The girls and sneaked over, and with the help of her mom, were able to get inside her house and sneak up to her bedroom to do the "heart attack". Then we snuck back down, and onto the front porch where we rang the doorbell as if we had just arrived. We went in to see her in the living room with our posters and gift baskets and the girls spent a few minutes visiting with her and letting her know they cared about her. They were excited to know that she would still be surprised sometime after they left, when she went to her room and realized that there were notes everywhere! What a great night, and what great youth. It was a great experience!

2/24/2013 Sister Missionaries

Today we had the Sister Missionaries from Payson speak in our ward. Its been such a long time since we have had missionaries speak in our ward. They did a really great job, and you could really feel their genuine love for the gospel and for bringing the peace of the gospel into the lives of others.

2/23/2013 First Run!! :)

I went for my first run in 5 months!!! It felt so good to be out running. I ran 1 mile in 10 min 20 seconds. A pretty slow mile, but it felt so good to be outside again. I have been making some pretty good strides with my health, but I have still got a ways to go. I am hopeful that I will contiue to make progress, and get back to better health soon!

02/19/2013 to 02/22/2013 Catching up....

This last few weeks has been a bit of a whirlwind, but I think I still caught a few fun times on camera... Tyler and I went for a walk together... the weather is finally getting warmer.. we have had a few days in the 40's!. :) We celebrate our family Valentines Day on the Sunday after Valentines Day... the kids get a few fun treats and we share letters and valentines with each other that have been collecting in our family Valentines Mailbox. Tyler got to be the "mail delivery girl" which she thought was great. Tyler really enjoys being home, and getting to do fun things like dress up in her dance clothes and dance for everyone, listen to primary songs, and color pictures for everyone, and one of her favorites... is helping Samantha to make cookies. Samantha makes some really good snickerdoodles!

2/18/2013 Bowling

Presidents Day Bowling!! Fun times! Everyone had a great time! :)

02/16/13 to 02/18/2013 Trip to Pocatello

I am a little off of my schedule, so I am playing catch up! We went up to Idaho for a spur of the moment trip, over Presidents Day weekend. We all had a really good time, and it was a nice break. We played games, the kids played lots together, we went to lava hot springs, bowling, a family walk, took Sterling and Laurie (with Dan and Julie) to lunch for his "Returned Missionary Lunch". We made oreo truffles, attended Stake Conference together, and really just enjoyed spending time with each other!
